The historical model of Memel until the middle of the 20 century, Klaipėda, Lithuania Minor, Lithuania. An archaic tradition, dated back from the founding of the city by the Livonian Order during the Baltic Crusades, there can be seen – the separate churches for the different nationality Christians (conquerors and conquered and baptized natives), initially for the Catholics, after the secularisation of the Order – for the Lutherans: St John's (marked with the red) for the Germans and St Jacob's (marked with the green) for the Prussian Lithuanians
